About Wes Point Shores
Wes Point Shores Cabins is a family-friendly resort located 7 miles from Alpena, Michigan on Lake Winyah, part of the Thunder Bay River System. Nestled among tall Norway Pines, we offer peace and relaxation for the vacationer. Whether you're an avid fisherman out for the big one, a wildlife enthusiast, outdoor adventurer, stargazer or simply wish to enjoy our spectacular sunsets, we guarantee you a pleasant stay.
Rooms & Ammenities
We offer one, two and three bedroom cottages with bath. Additionally, we offer one 30 ft. Jayco travel trailers with full hook-up, and one small campsite with electrical and water. Our cabins and trailers offer a fully equipped kitchen with stoves or cooktops, refrigerator, dishes, cutlery, cookware, bed linen and blankets. Each cottage has a dock included in the rental price. We do have a few aluminum rowboats for use, free of charge, on a first-come-first-serve basis. The trailer is air conditioned but does not include a private dock. Cottages and trailers include a fire pit and picnic table for outdoor enjoyment. Boat motors and charcoal grills are available for rent. Firewood is available for purchase on-site.
We are located within a mile of a small grocery store with live bait, and fishing licenses. Alpena, located seven miles away, offers great restaurants, a brewery, shopping, theatre, museums, churches and entertainment.
Kayaks, Canoes and Pontoon boats may be rented from Camper's Cove, located 1/4 mile east of us.
We are open seasonally May through November.
